Radio Festival 2008

The 2008 Radio Festival takes place in the Merchant City, Glasgow between June 30th and July 2nd. Main sessions will be held in the superb City Halls, the home of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and the other events are all within easy walking distance.
The Festival is the centrepiece of UK radio’s year, a chance to hear from key media opinion formers, debate the issues facing the radio industry and take advantage of unrivalled networking opportunities. The full programme will be published in April, but you can book your place now at the early bird rate.

Schedule:
Monday June 30th
9.30am TechCon discusses the technical challenges of convergence
2pm Foot in the Door stages another session of  radio jobs speed dating, a chance for young people to meet the professionals
6pm Civic Reception, followed by the annual GMG Debate tackling one of the big issues of the day.
 

Tuesday July 1st 

9am – 5pm A selection of lectures, panels, workshops, debates and games to inform, entertain and stimulate.
6.30 pm The Gala Dinner in the magnificent Old Fruitmarket.
Wednesday July 2nd
8am – 1 pm more debate and discussion
On the Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6pm the Festival Bar across the street at Arta will offer live music and chill out areas in a stunning venue for networking.
